CASE MATERIALS

WOOD

OUR WOOD IS JUICED

A Maker is built different. We handcraft in small batches using stabilized wood.

The stabilization process can take upwards of 54 hours of processing time. The wood is held under constant vacuum and infused with cactus juice to make it stronger and less vulnerable to expansion and contraction. As wood is a natural material that is impacted by various temperature and humidity changes the stabilization process ensures your watch will the most stable and reliable long term for travel and everyday wear. We generally use burls for this process (Maple Burl, Box Elder & Buckeye Burl) as the live edge creates the most visually appealing finished product.

We're in this business for the long term and will not sacrifice short term time savings for long term durability.

RESIN

A UNIVERSE FULL OF COLOR POTENTIAL

A year into our making journey we experimented with epoxy resin and it took the product to a new level. Using resin allows to integrate an unlimited array of colors, motion and depth. The case sits in a pressure chamber for 2 to 4 hours which crushes the bubbles formed during the exothermic reaction and the end result is a watch case that is hard as a rock and clear like glass.

HYBRID / EXOTIC

A REMARKABLE MIX

Can't decide between all wood or all resin?

Do both :)

A hybrid fuses both materials together into a statement piece. We have a reputation of getting a little carried away with our hybrids by infusing exotic materials such as shredded money, cigars, carbon fiber, cremated remains, diamond shavings and anything else our CNC mill will cut.
